Team from Department of Pediatrics of Institute of Clinical Medicine of University of Tartu has experience in international collaborative research of very preterm infants for more than 10 years. The UTARTU team participated in projects EPICE, SHIPS, and RECAP, focusing on three Estonian national cohorts of very preterm infants.
We participate in the IMPROVE PRETERM Project activities in different work streams, of them the most important would be contribution to developing and validating of tools for follow-up of children at 5-7 years of age, and collaborate on the (RECAP) data platform with the aim to assess preterm child health, development, and quality of life across all age groups, and collecting population-based cohort data.
