Outputs & Impact

IMPROVE PRETERM is committed to making research matter in the real world.

Here we share what the project delivers – from scientific publications and policy briefs to public events, tools, and training materials. Each output brings us closer to better care, stronger evidence, and improved lifelong outcomes for children and adults born very preterm.

The project also translates scientific findings into policy and evidence briefs – clear, actionable resources for clinicians, families, and policymakers.

Check back soon for updates as our first publications and briefs become available.

The IMPROVE PRETERM team regularly takes part in international conferences, workshops, and community events to share progress and exchange ideas with experts and families alike.

On this page, we highlight our activities – from scientific presentations to public engagement sessions.

IMPROVE PRETERM is developing open-access tools that make research and care better connected. These include:

  • the PARCA-5/7 questionnaire, an easy-to-use parent tool for tracking child development;
  • open-source software for secure, privacy-preserving data analysis; and
  • the RECAP Preterm platform, expanded with new datasets from birth registers, neonatal networks, and clinical trials.

All tools and resources will be freely available to researchers, clinicians, and families once released.
