Here we share what the project delivers – from scientific publications and policy briefs to public events, tools, and training materials. Each output brings us closer to better care, stronger evidence, and improved lifelong outcomes for children and adults born very preterm.

Publications & Briefs

Our research is just getting started. As IMPROVE PRETERM moves forward, we will share peer-reviewed studies, co-authored papers, and accessible summaries that highlight what works best in caring for very preterm children.

The project also translates scientific findings into policy and evidence briefs – clear, actionable resources for clinicians, families, and policymakers.

Tools & Resources

IMPROVE PRETERM is developing open-access tools that make research and care better connected. These include:

  • the PARCA-5/7 questionnaire, an easy-to-use parent tool for tracking child development;
  • open-source software for secure, privacy-preserving data analysis; and
  • the RECAP Preterm platform, expanded with new datasets from birth registers, neonatal networks, and clinical trials.

All tools and resources will be freely available to researchers, clinicians, and families once released.
