The University of Oulu, founded in 1958, is one of the largest and most multidisciplinary universities in Finland. One of the strategic focus areas of the university is lifelong health and well-being, and the University is particularly strong in birth cohort research, centred around Northern Finland Birth Cohorts 1966 and 1986 together with birth cohorts focused on preterm birth and register-linkage studies.  

In IMPROVE PRETERM, University of Oulu will lead work packages on the use case on antenatal and postnatal corticosteroids and Nordic register studies and contribute to other research use cases and research in the IMPROVE PRETERM platform.
